the curse of optimization

it took me 6 years to write this blog.

i first thought about writing in 2019, i was waiting for the perfect platform, the perfect page, the perfect domain, the perfect idea

it never came.

nothing turned out as i wanted it to be. so i disguised procrastination as optimization.

optimizing my writing for the perfect day.

guess what, the perfect day never came. my writing didn’t improve.

turns out, you need to put in the reps to build muscle, simply thinking about going to the gym won’t build you a great physique, and the same applies for every aspect of life.

so here is me just winging it. whatever you are reading is unedited and unfiltered. i am writing this as i am thinking.

how will it turn out? i’ll leave that for you to judge.

i spent way too much time optimizing things than i spent on building or sharing.

people might not read this, i get it. my message might not reach the right audience.

no problem, i’ll try again.

and again,

and again…

because i realized that you need to pick a motto for your life and just make it your mission to repeat it everyday until it becomes a part of your identity.

because if you don’t, the world will assign you one… and you are not going to love it.

people pick a mission and spend their entire life getting enough people to follow it.

and that’s how cults are made, that’s how religions are built.

you pick an ideology and repeat it enough times that it starts to resonate with a few people, and on a large enough timescale, people from all parts of the world come together to celebrate that ideology, it’s a chain reaction.

you must have realized by now that we went off topic, isn’t this blog about optimization?

the smart one’s will read between the lines and get the message.

my final advice to the future self reading this:
you are overthinking, you are over strategizing, you just need to start winging it. things will fall in the right place.

ciao.
